Tanya

Tanya has been a veterinary nurse since 1992 and is a credit to the profession.  She has been with St. Francis since it's inception and is an integral part of hospital management, client services and patient care.  She holds a B.S. degree in Biochemistry from Arizona State University and has special interest in behavioral counseling. She is also a certified nutritional counselor for pets. She shares her life with her husband, Jamie; her adorable son, Xander; three silly Vizsla dogs, Elke, Rocket and Hanja; her heeler mix, Ansel; three pampered house cats, Chance, Tucker, and Creek; and her sweet bunny, Blossom.  She spends her time away from St. Francis hiking, watching football (go Vikings!), cooking and baking.

Angela

Angela is one of our full-time nurses.  She is a PIMA medical institute graduate in veterinary assistance training.  She has been with us since her PIMA externship after which she was hired on full-time.   She is intelligent, compassionate, reliable and very capable. She has grown into one of our finest nurses.  We, as a staff, are so proud of her accomplishments.  She shares her life with her fiancée, Tim and their adorable son, Timothy as well as her large family of people and pets.

Jodi

Jodi is a  PIMA medical institute graduate in veterinary assistance training. Before she discovered her passion for animals, she attended the University of Northern Colorado and Pikes Peak Community College. She is currently working towards her certification in veterinary nursing online while she works with us full-time as an assistant to our nurses and doctors.  She is smart and personable. Jodie is an avid reader as well as a movie and music lover of all genres. She shares a home with her mother, Laura; a sister, Jessica and her dachshund, Toby.

Sarah, CVT

Sarah has been a veterinary nurse since 2006.  She joined the St. Francis team full-time in March of 2008 and we are lucky to have her.   She graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2003 and from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology with an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 2006.  Sarah is a Colorado Springs native and spends her time frequenting the dog parks with her 7 year-old Labrador mix, Duke.  She has a bright disposition and the animals love being with her as much as we do.

Kelsey

Kelsey is one of our part-time customer care specialists.  When she is not greeting and helping our clients and their pets, she is working on a double major in Biology and Chemistry at UCCS.  Kelsey lives with her two Afghans, Angie and Roy, and "the cutest boxer ever", Ringo.  In her spare time she can be found cooking, hiking or playing with her pets.

Jill

Jill is one of our full-time customer care specialists who found her passion in veterinary medicine.  She has a welcoming spirit to both people and pets.  Jill moved to Colorado in 2008 with her husband, Danny, and their two four-legged kids; Reesy cup, a dachshund mix, and Keta, the love-bug kitty.  Jill holds Bachelor's degrees in History and Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina.  Her hobbies include hiking, camping, rock-climbing, Harry Potter and college football (Go Buckeyes!).

Kristen

Kristen is our part-time client care specialist, part-time nursing assistant and part-time administrative assistant.  She is so integral to our stability as a hospital that no one title could fit her.  Kristen has worked off and on with Dr. Kaufer for 6 years while attending college.  She is finishing her Bachelors of Art in History this year and will begin her Masters program this fall.  When Kristen is not with her fiancé, Billy, her mother, father, sister or nephew, she is endurance riding and hiking.  Her pets include dogs, Oskie, Tyson and Cyano and her horse, Gaylic.

Rich

Rich (and Poppy) have been with us from the very beginning and was instrumental in developing and opening St. Francis Animal Hospital.   After dedicating himself as hospital manager for several years, he now serves us on occasion as a consultant,  client care specialist and nursing assistant.  His smile and greetings are a highlight for both pets and owners.
